Zapp and Roger: More Bounce To The Ounce, 1979.

The Greatest Dance Song Ever Written:

It starts out as HARD as you can hit the ONE. And if that did not wake you up, the electro-claps sure did.
Then Roger cranks the talk box, reminding you that there is “more BOUNCE to the OUNCE!” (“Much more bounce…”).
The bass is stuttering with the power of Barry Sanders coming out of the backfield and Bootsy’s rhythm guitar sounds like a clanky loose bike chain.
And the electro-claps do not cease, not for one second.
At 1:00 Roger demands that you “G-G-G-G-Get on the dance FLOW!”
The pot is on full boil.
OOO-WEEE! OOH-WEEE!
At about 3:35 Roger starts noodling with the synth, you throw your arms in the air.
And the Electro-claps do not cease. Not for one second.
“Shucks, Baby! Shucks!” (3:43)

Matt Powell knows how to get up offa that thing.
